Sorry, Google!

Take your search elsewhere on the "/sorry" captcha pages Google serves when you use a VPN. Hold CTRL while clicking to open in a new tab.

Whenever I'm on a VPN, Google tends to throw me to their Captcha page (the one with /sorry in the URL). They made these captchas quite hard, to the point where it sometimes takes me minutes to solve these. DuckDuckGo and others do not give you a captcha to solve when using a VPN, so I usually go there, but then I have to type the query out again. This userscript extracts your query from the URL and offers links to DDG, Bing, Brave Search and Startpage with the query prefilled.

Suck it, Google.

I publish my userscripts under an MIT license in hopes they are helpful to others. I don't have a ton of time but I do try to keep these updated when I can. If something broke or if you have any suggestions, please don't just leave a bad review, leave some feedback (or even better, a pull request via github) and I'll take a look when I get a chance. Let's improve these together. Thanks all!
