Trek GPT

This simple script allows you to interact with Chat GPT closer to a normal conversation. The script takes advantage of Chrome's speechSynthesis & webkitSpeechRecognition APIs, which enable STT & TTS. The script loads and plays audio elements, making the interaction feel like you're talking to the LCARS system from Star Trek TNG.

Voice Commands:

  • "Computer" - This is a voice command used as a wake word to let the script know you are ready to ask a question.

** You do not need to say computer to execute the following commands **

  • "Cancel Command" - lets the script know that you no longer want to ask a question or to stop generating an answer.

  • "Cancel Request" - Same as "Cancel Command.

  • "Deactivate Voice Response" - Deactivates the TTS and only shows the text response.

  • "Deactivate Voice" - Same as Deactivate Voice Response.

  • "Activate Voice Response" - Re-Activates the TTS response.

  • "Activate Voice" - Same as Activate Voice Response.

  • "Speak up Computer" - Same as Activate Voice Response.

  • "Speak up" - Sames as Activate Voice Response.

  • "Shut Up Computer" - Deactivates Voice & stops a response from being generated.

  • "Shut Up" - Same as "Shut Up Computer."
