    • YYYY-MM-DD_Time_ID_ModelName_Your-Original-Prompt.ext
  • High-Quality Source: Intercepts API traffic to fetch the highest resolution source available (hdMediaUrl), bypassing compressed thumbnail previews.
  • Video & Image Support: Fully compatible with both static image generations (.jpg, .png) and video animations (.mp4).
  • Native UI Integration: Adds a subtle, non-intrusive "Download" button to the bottom-right of every media card.
  • Status Indicators: The button updates in real-time (0/4 → OK!) so you know exactly when downloads are finished.

🔧 How to Use

  1. Install: Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey for your browser, then install this script.
  2. Browse: Navigate to grok.com and go to your generation history or favorites.
  3. Download: Hover over any image card. You will see a Download icon appear in the bottom right corner (next to the standard buttons).
  4. Click: Click the button. The script will fetch the original file and any variations/child posts and save them to your default download folder.

⚙️ Configuration & Tips

  • Important - Browser Settings: Because this script creates multiple downloads at once (for batches), your browser might ask for permission to "Download multiple files." Please allow this.
  • Disable "Ask where to save": For the best experience, go to your browser settings and disable the option "Always ask you where to save files". If this is on, you will have to manually click "Save" for every single image variation.
  • Data Loading: This script relies on intercepting the data as it loads from the server. If you install the script and immediately look at a page that is already open, you may need to refresh the page, so the script can capture the image data.

📋 Technical Details

  • Privacy: This script runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any third-party server. It only communicates with assets.grok.com and imagine-public.x.ai to fetch your media.
