This script will draw a highlight box around any MetaFilter post or comment that has a word or phrase you choose. Multiple choices are supported.

After installation, when you are at the MetaFilter site, enter your highlight choices by selecting the browser menu: Tools / Greasemonkey / User Script Commands... / configure noticeMF  to view noticeMF's configure menu.

Words or phrases are not case-sensitive, but must be a whole word and not part of another word. For example MOO will match an entry of moo, but moos will not. You may choose any one of seven colors for the highlight.

Note that support for a context menu selection—as done for the diediedead script—would be possible, but was not requested and is not currently implemented. However, if a user desires context menu support, let me know and I will work to put that feature in a future version of noticeMF.

Support, as with all my scripts, is available at http://devoresoftware.blogspot.com/. MetaFilter mail is also acceptable.
