Does what you would expect it to do. It sends push notifications whenever one of the advisors in ikariam lights up, telling you something has happened.
This will alert you to attacks, tell you when buildings are finished, traders arrive and you receive messages. The popups will keep bugging you until you click the advisor, so you won't be caught off guard just because you look another way.
