this script reduces twitch's chat spam
Some twitch channels' chats can get really messy. This script tries to filter a bit of the constant spamming,
although it will not filter all spam, and is prone to false positives (very little, hopefully).
The following messages types will be filtered:
- only emotes
- 5 or more emotes
- a number only, with or without emotes (mostly for Kappa 123 spam)
- a single word
- mostly caps lock
- too much repeated words
It also contains an 'r9k emulator'. It remembers the last 30 messages from the chat, and filters
any duplicate.
The count of filtered messages is displayed at the bottom of the chat.
