It seems to have been removed in v4.2.
I just noticed it seems to be active automatically now for some movies/shows on Netflix, but I guess some of there catalogue even for stuff that isn't that old they just don't have 720p+ versions.
I tested it with Devils Plan which will show as 1920 x 1080, and Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween which only goes as high as 960 x 540p, even though it is a movie from 2018 which has released on DVD, and Blu-ray.
Netflix lacking in another department it seems, and unfortunately this isn't something we can fix.
The 1080p option seems to be missing now, what happened? Can we get it back?
This is because enabling this option no longer has any side effects (there used to be concerns it might affect 4K playback). As a result, it is now always enabled by default and no longer needs to be turned on manually.
